Life's Like That

Life!!!It brings a mysterious smile on my face.For me,it's like a child.Innocent and mischievous.Oh!How could I forget,restless too.Who knows what secrets it has hidden in it's groovy self.Occasionally,it nags you like a child,leaving you no option, but to give in.But,the very next moment,it just seems to know what you want from it and it doesn't fail to bring back the smile on your face.You really need to understand it and treat it with utmost care.But,who really wants to understand it.It's the unpredictability of life that makes it's journey so beautiful.It's slightly smarter than a child though.'Coz you'll simply fail to lure it.Try it,and it will outsmart you.For me,life's my greatest pal.It knows all my secrets but loves me unconditionally.But I secretly do wish,I could bully my pal, like I could a child.But,it simply refuses to mend it's ways.Well,what can I say?Life's like that....

The Attributes Of Society

As time passes by,I find myself pondering over the idiosyncrasies of society.Well,where do I start from?The ever curious,oops!I mean,concerned neighborhood,the very "gentle" and"naive" boy next door,or the very comprehensible society at large.The very essence of society lies in the fact,that it masters the art of defying the thought,"Practice What You Preach".Well,who said that they completely defy it?Don't they preach to their hearts content?Now,that's a difficult task.But don't be surprised,if they seem to perform it with complete ease.After all,practice does make a man perfect.Well,talking of perfection,how can I not mention those few,well I guess,countless Homo Sapiens,who consider themselves to be "quintessentially perfect" and have been "kind" enough to take up the "difficult" job of a moral police.The one thing(should I dare say)the only thing that they have nurtured with years of hard work.So my homage to them,is but,inevitable.I believe,these very familiar terms "society"and "hypocrisy"is synonymous.Needless to mention that they have had the most successful courtship for centuries now.Trust me,it's a companionship that can put anybody to shame.So much so,that if you separate one from the other,they might even suffer from an identity crisis.I guess what we all fail to realize is that,a part of this exists in all of us,but whats important,is that we rectify it.Hmmm....looks like I've mastered in something too.But about practicing it,well not too sure.

Who am I?

I always wanted to make the most out of my life and become everything that I wanted to be.I remember asking my mother once,"Can I become a lawyer or pursue business?How about a singer or even a journalist?And what about the secret wish of mine to become a superstar?And wondered, that if it really summed up the few things that I wished to be.Little did I know then,that you can choose any career you wanted to pursue,but not really be the person you wanted to be.I'm often forced to think,am I what I wanted to be or am I what others want me to be?No wonder,I don't fail to surprise myself quite often.Freedom of expression and thoughts they say.But,there were times when I feared to express my thoughts to myself,let alone others.Seemed quite strange to me.Was I not my sole mate?Were we not supposed to be one?Maybe not.I was often warned about strangers.But,what about the stranger in me.What about the biggest battle of my life?The battle between the "perfect me"and "not so perfect" me.Guess my well wishers mistook that stranger to be somebody they knew,unknown to the confusion,that this "known stranger" could bring about in my life.There were times when I felt completely deceived by others,not knowing,for how long I had been deceiving myself.Guess I'll never learn to leave those poor souls alone.Wondering why poor souls?I mean,were they really deceiving me or were they just trying to be themselves?And not what I or anybody else wanted them to be.25 years of my life,long enough to know anybody?Then wonder why,I find myself still asking, this rather strange question,who really am I?
